Hey hey hey! Thanks for all the wonderful comments on my bucket list/WIAW post! I always love seeing new faces around here, so stick around if you like what you see ๐
I’ve been seeing a lot of Friday Five type posts lately (well, duh, it was just Friday!) so I wanted to do my own version of that: Saturday Seven! Basically it’s the same as the Friday Five, except it’s Saturday and there’s two more things–bonus!
1. Rekindling my love for yoga
ย I love yoga, and I do it on a daily basis, but lately I haven’t been really into it. I pretty much forgot about my yoga mat since it’s been in my closet, so some of the poses haven’t been as comfortable, but with my mat back in action, I should be ready to get my yoga on!
2. Obsessing over new foodie products
ย Not sure if you can read that list (my camera is sometimes weird with taking pics) but I’m currently on the lookout for Oikosย frozen yogurt, Clif Peppermint Stick (new seasonal flavor–heck to the YES!) and White Chocolate Macadamia Mojo bars and Silk Mint Chocolate and Nog soy milks. I know that those last 2 exist, but it’s not quite time for them to reappear in stores–why can’t it be November already? The other things I have yet to see and they need to be in my life ASAP!
3. Resting my foot
ย The foot pain on my sole has yet to disappear, but since it’s the weekend and I have no classes to be at, I decided to take a break from walking on it and see if it speeds up the healing process. I’m also planning on icing it. I’m still really hoping it’s not a stress fracture…
4. Finishing off my almond butter
ย For once, I actually have a jarย of almond butter. I usually get my AB from the grinders at Whole Foods, so it just comes in a little flimsy plastic container. This time, I got some AB from Super Target so it came in a jar…and it’s almost out! OIAJ time later this week ๐ I’d love to try the Almond Cashew Peanut butter next time–have any of you tried it yet?
5. Plowing through my to-do list
ย I just get done with 2 tests in one day and now I’ve got another test on Tuesday, a bunch of homework and a paper dueย in 2 weeks? Yay school ๐ฆ I’ve got most of the take home exam done, plus I organized my closet, vacuumed my room and did my online homework. All that’s left to do today is watch the new SNL ๐
6. Rockin’ my real glasses
ย While I wish my “nerdy” 3D glasses were my real glasses, they don’t have any lenses. And I actually need glasses. Usually I wear contacts but I was feeling kinda lazy and kinda smart today, so I decided to wear my glasses. I think they’re flippin’ awesome!
7. Organizing my closet
ย Yes, I’m one of those obsessive, anal people who needs to have their closet organized by color. When I first unloaded all my crap stuff into my room at the beginning of the school year, I just hung things up based on category (like tanks, sweaters, shorts, etc.). But I was getting annoyed with that, so I organized it by color, just like it was at home. Now I feel so much better ๐
What have you been up to this weekend? Any new foodie products you really want to try but haven’t been able to find (another one of mine is peanut flour!)?
Looks like a full Saturday…So far this weekend, I’ve only worked. Now I’m trying to get my bum out the door to go for a 9 mile run.
I’ve been dying to try It’s About Time’s Cake Batter Protein Powder!
I color code my closet too! Or rather it will be color coded for a week and then for the rest of the month it’s just like whatever because I’m always to busy (jk, it’s that I’m to lazy really) to fix it again.
Oh yeah, I’ve totally seen that protein powder around the blog world and I really wanna try it too! For now I’m just using a vanilla protein powder that kinda tastes like cake ๐
I want to try tofu, coconut oil, and peanut flour as well! I reallllyy wanna get a jar of almond butter but my mom says it’s too expensive and taste no different from pb (which I strongly disagree with.) So I’ll just have to stick with making my own.
Almond butter is SO good and completely different from PB! It is kinda expensive though but it honestly depends where you get it from. I think it’s fairly cheap at Target. But making it yourself is always fun–I’ve yet to do that but I want to!
We are so similar! My closet is color coordinated in rainbow. Hahah. It starts from red and ends with black. I thought I was just a freak! We also have like the exact same to do lists. I love your glasses. I have two pairs, my hipster pair and my nerdy pair. I’ve been looking for a pair that I can wear out and about when my eyes are tired, but no luck yet.
Yes that’s awesome how you organized it! Mine is still organized by item too but doing it by the colors of the rainbow sounds even better ๐
LOVE da glasses! they look cute on you!
Thanks ๐
Girl your glasses are super cute! And I’m an organizing fiend too, I HAVE to have my closet organized by color or else I go crazy haha ๐
Enjoy the rest of your weekend chica and good luck with all the homework!! ๐
Awh thank you ๐ Hope you have a great rest of the weekend too!
I have been wanting to try peanut flour foever!! Finally going to order some online today or tomorrow ๐
Yay that’s awesome! I think I’m gonna do the same sometime soon!
There are a lot of food products I’ve been wanting to try but can’t find. I live in a very deep-fired conscious town. We have a trader joes but no whole foods which makes me sad.
Organizing is great. I organize two classrooms at school as well as my own bedroom and the entire house.
Have a great weekend. Good luck with the homework.
Whole Foods is beyond amazing, that totally sucks that you don’t have one! Maybe we could trade for a day so I could check out Trader Joe’s ๐
I have tried the oikos froyo and the white chocolate mojo and I approve of both. I’m on the lookout for those new clif bars and the zbar as well as kabocha squash in a more convenient location than Philadelphia.
Awesome, now I know I’ll be spending my money wisely on those things ๐
Kabocha squash is something I should add to my list, too! But I agree that it makes more sense to buy things closer to home instead of making a special trip just for one item.
yes! yoga and gwendolyn are my two loves! enjoy the rekindling! ๐ xx http://www.nicoleandgwendolyn.com
Thank you–I most certainly will ๐
Hey girly :*
I wish I had your yoga mat, love the color! Im into yoga too. After my fave yoga instructor left to Asia, I lost my motivation ๐ฆ BUT, Im back into it now, joinig at least 2 or 3 classes a week+sometimes doing a little on my own after a walk or run!
I love to-do lists too! Makes me so much more productive!
Me weekend has been bliss-full! Relaxing, working out, brunch with my favorit girls, chocolate-eating, tea-drinking, walking etc..
